WiFi Display Receiver AV Dongle

I have a Hitachi smart tv & tried Netflix a while ago but our net connection is unsuitable ( far too slow for watching films) so I usually put the films on a usb stick & watch them on the TV , if I wanted to 'send them directly from my PC to TV' would this do the job ?
