Smart 450

Just got a smart 450 3 bottuns with ikey820 no comunication yes good volta-se etc.
Always sad When a more expensive tool dont do the job of a 100 euros fvdi.
Could it be car problem? No faults.
Any other tool recomendation? Dont like fvdi
